Sample Sites
Here you can find further sample-sites which were created with Zulu.
The templates used for these sample sites are distributed with Zulu.
The content of the following sites is identical to the this guide. Only
their layout (template) is different.
-

Status: Suitable as template for your website.
-

Status: Suitable as template for your website.

existing site.

-
Cool
Simple site with a navigation bar at the top. The layout has been
copied by Google :-)
Status: Hack.
-
Nokia
Layout copied from Nokia.
Compact, technical layout.
Status: Stylesheet must be improved. Large differences between
Internet Explorer and Netscape. Zulu doesn't yet perfectly support
menus of this kind.
-
Switch
Layout copied from Switch.
Pleasing technical layout, unfortunately static page size. Another
disadvantage is the large number of GIFs which determine the size of
the table.
Status: Works well with the Internet Explorer and Netscape.
Generating the menus with Zulu is a delicate task because level 3 is
a part of level 2 (see also <!--Zulu:Page:2--> in
the HTML-Code). In addition the current version of Zulu is unable to
show the title on level 2 underlined and on the left.
-
Firstobject
Layout copied from Firstobject.
Pleasant layout with a dynamic page size. The size of the image in
the header is adjusted to the width of the window.
Status: Works with the Internet Explorer. Hasn't been tested with
Netscape. -
LART
Layout copied from the LART-Projekt.
Simple and pleasant layout with a dynamic page size.
Status: Works with the Internet Explorer. Hasn't been tested with
Netscape.
Elements which Zulu does not support: The original site draws a fine
frame around the menus. In addition the text blocks have a bright
background.
-
Bioinformatik
Layout copied from the Abteilung Bioinformatik
of the Universität Heidelberg. Simple layout with a dynamic
page size. Status: Quick Hack.
Caution: The spacing of the menus is done by inserting special
characters. This was frequently done back in the DOS-age when they
used all kinds of boxes and special characters. But since HTML is
very dynamic one should not rely on fix font sizes and fix line
spacing anymore.
- Twinhelix
Layout copied from Twinhelix. The Menu uses Javascript
and may not work on all Browsers. The Python-Plugin zulu_groupmenu.py was used
to create the menu. Please note that the Menu is not Open Source.
